What should we do now, Jack, to help my motherland, Korea?
Jack, ѹα Ͽ 츮 ؾ մϱ?

Jay, nothing! There is nothing you can do for your homeland now. It is time for S. Koreans to decide their own destiny with such a popular President and such a reliable country (?) of N. Korea. I dont think anybody in the White House would like to pay his attention to your letter or email on the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from S. Korea.

" Jay, ƹ͵ ! Ͽ ִ ̶ ƹ͵ ϴ. ѱε ׷ αִ ɰ ׷Ե ŷ (?) Բ ׵ Դϴ. ǰ κ ̱ö õ ̸Ͽ ̶ ʽϴ. "

He continued with very sad eyes, since he knew very well how Vietnam was overthrown and how S. Vietnamese had to suffer from all kinds of hardships, tortures, and executions, since the Communist takeover.

The Fall of Saigon Marine Association

As you wrote to your fellow Koreans, freedom and economic prosperity were given to S. Koreans, in deed they deserved to earn them due to their hard work and sacrifice for their next generation. But they trampled them and turned and attack those who had sacrificed themselves for the freedom and prosperity for Korea, including their old generation and Americans. The almost same situation was given to S. Vietnam. In the same way, they

I interrupted him to say, S. Korea is different, since S. Koreans experienced the atrocities of the communist during Korean War and defended her against the invasion.

" ٸϴ. ֳϸ ε ѱⰣ ڵ м ü߰ ħ Ͽ ׽ϴ." ߽ϴ.

Jack said with slightly disappointed face.

ణ Ǹ ǥ ߽ϴ.

Yes, it did. S. Koreans had worked very hard to make such an affluent nation, but they somehow began to forget the lessons of their own history, forget how they obtained the freedom that they enjoyed, and forget completely this verse of the Bible, Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (Prov. 16: 18)

Jay! It seems to me that freedom and economic prosperity had made Koreans so proud of themselves with a haughty spirit. It is not an old story that Koreans have become so arrogant and even cruel to other Asian peoples, including their own people living in China and any other countries. The main reason why they became so arrogant in such a short period might be they were so poor in the past. As you know, once the poor suddenly became rich, he wants to swagger about his possession and wealth to show off to others. In fact, they have put money before any other things, even family, home, nation, even God.

Consequently, morality has lost its hold on the Koreans, patriotism has gone, and selfishness has flourished everywhere in the society. They ignored what the Bible said in 1 Timothy 6, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Rome was not built in a day. Similarly, Rome was not destroyed in a day either. There are many other reasons for the fall of Rome, but I would like to point out that its citizens were corrupted, absorbed in some types of 3S (Sex, Screen, and Sports), and did not pay attention to the lack of patriotism among their kids. Well, Korea is far from Rome, but somehow Korea has been following the pattern of the downfall of Rome.

Well, Jay, you have tried to attribute the current downfall of Korea to other sources, but to me it is meaningless if you cant see exactly the fact that the current crisis of Korea results from Koreans themselves. Why do some people try to attribute the fall of Vietnam to the wrong policies of America? Even to Kissinger. Oh, did he intentionally do to win a Novel peace prize? Oh, my boy! Sorry to say, but he is not a type of DJ. What do you think, Jay? Am I wrong?

Oh, my goodness. If I stayed a little longer there, Jack would continue to speak forever what he wanted to talk about my homeland, Korea, which already became an ugly country by returning evil for good, to most of Americans that I know of.

I repeated the following two sentences from what Jack said today:
Rome was not destroyed in a day.
It is time for S. Koreans to decide their own destiny with such a popular President and such a reliable country of N. Korea.

"θ Ϸħ ʾҴ."
"ѱε ׷ αִ ɰ ŷҸ (?) Բ ׵ Դϴ. "

N. Korea has become a reliable country to whom? When did N. Korea become a reliable country to S. Koreans? When? Since when? Since when Kim Dae Jung spoke very highly of the evil slaughter, Kim Jong-Il. He seems to be a man of good judgment. Or since Ms. Park Geunhae spoke well of the devil butcher. He is a man whom we can make understood, or it is comfortable for me to make myself understood to him.

No problem to us, my fellow Koreans! It is quite evident to me that the U.S. decided to respect your judgment and your experience with N. Korea. Isnt it quite natural for the U.S. to keep her nose out of your own business? It will be your responsibility to decide your own destiny with such a great President Roh and such a great Partner Kim JI? Today, Roh insisted, Nothing to worry about the security. Kim JI has long called for all U.S. troops to leave South Korea. What perfect partners they are!

In addition, the following headline somehow justifies what Jack said today.

But my fellow Koreans! Please read what the Bible says to you today and do not forget:
